I’ve been watching the devastating images coming out of Calgary all day. What we’ve all been seeing is heartbreaking. I can’t imagine what Calgarians must be dealing with right now. I’ve got family members and friends who live there. Some have been lucky – their houses have not been touched by the water. Others I know were evacuated and I’ve yet to hear from them. I’m hoping they, and their houses, are safe.

Whenever tragic events happen so far away from where we live, we end up feeling helpless. We want to reach out and help, but distance often makes that impossible. That’s how I have felt today. I wanted to help my fellow Canadians in some way, but I couldn’t.
So the next best thing I thought I could do to help (besides donating!) is to provide some useful information that may help those in the Calgary area. Here’s a round up of the most important contact information I have found online:
CANADIAN RED CROSS:
-
You can call their toll-free number for info 1-866-696-648
