StarWarsYearByYear

May the force be with you, Star Wars fans, or at the very least, may luck be on your side. Canadian Blog House is giving away something that all Star Wars lovers should own – Star Wars Year By Year A Visual Chronicle from DK Canada Books.

If you’ve read my other reviews of DK Canada books, then you’ll know how much I rave about their amazing books.  Well, this Star Wars book is now at the top of my list.  It truly is phenomenal.

This 328-page Chronicle (see photo above ^) covers everything you would ever want to know about the Star Wars franchise…and more!  Covering “Life Before Star Wars” from 1914-1972, there are all kinds of trivia “snipits” covering the early years of George Lucas, and the years leading up to the “birth” of Star Wars. Star Wars Year By Year chronicles everything Star Wars related right through to the year 2012.  Every page in this book is full of all kinds of fascinating information – in fact, so much information that I haven’t had the chance to read one complete section of this fantastic book yet.

Star Wars Year By Year even comes with a sleeve inside the front cover that includes two pull-out photos – one of Harrison Ford on the Star Wars set, and one of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Duchess Of Mandalore.  A nice little bonus for the avid Star Wars collector!

StarWars

I am in no way a Star Wars expert, having only seen the original Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, but I have a feeling after reading through this entire book, I will be.  This book has so many great details that I’m certain any Star Wars fan out there will find at least one or two things they didn’t know about their favourite galactic empire.

Star Wars Year By Year ~ A Visual Chronicle comes in a gorgeous, hard protective book sleeve that looks fantastic on the family book shelf.  This book is a definite must for all Star Wars fans and collectors!

RD.II.bIn honour of Star Wars Reads Day 2013 which is coming to Canada on October 5th for the first time (a celebration of literacy and all things Star Wars), DK Canada Books is offering 30% off books in their Star Wars Reads Day Boutique.  There you will find all kinds of great Star Wars books, including some wonderful Star Wars Readers for the little ones in your household who are just learning to read, or working at improving their reading skills.  Click here to see what I think of DK Readers.
