Shopping for home furnishings is not something I usually do online. I’m not sure why that is. I love online shopping, and often shop online for things like clothing, jewelry, and books – but not furniture.
I got thinking about this not long ago when I was browsing some online stores for new sheets for my bed.
It all started when I got very frustrated (for the millionth time!) at the fact that I fight with my current sheet set on a daily basis. Every day it’s the same thing. The bottom sheet is forever coming untucked at the corners.
Yes, I have a pillow top mattress, so there is a definite need for deep pocket sheets but, I already own some! I guess I just haven’t found sheets with deep enough pockets yet! So frustrating!
But enough about the sheets.
In my quest to find a new set of deep pocket sheets at a decent price, I happened upon furniture.ca, a site that not only sells sheet sets, but also quality furniture for your home or office.
Sheets? What sheets?
Next thing I know, my desire to search for new sheets was long gone, and I was happily browsing for – ack! – new furniture.
Do I need new furniture? No.
Do I like browsing for furniture online? As I discovered, yes indeed I do!
Before you know it, I had spent the better part of a half hour browsing through all the sections on furniture.ca.
That half hour was time well spent because now I have all kinds of ideas for Santa this Christmas!!
The best part is that the contester in me spotted a great contest while on the site. You know how much I love contests, so of course I had to enter it!
If I’m honest, my first thoughts were to keep this contest to myself. The fewer that enter, the more chances I have of winning, right?
But I’m not like that. I love to share good things.
And I know you, my readers, love contests too!.
This contest was so easy to enter (I like easy when it comes to contests!), I simply entered my email address and that was it! No long forms to fill out, no voting – nothing more than an email address! My kind of contest!
The grand prize winner can win a $5,000 shopping spree at furniture.ca, however, there are 12 other monthly chances to win a $500 shopping spree – so 13 prizes in all (not valid on appliances, electronics or mattresses).
The contest commenced on August 8, 2016, and ends on August 6, 2017.
The great thing is that you only have to enter once yet have a chance at 1 of 12 monthly prizes, or the grand prize. Monthly draws take place on the first Tuesday of each month. The grand prize will be drawn on August 14, 2017.

What would I select if I won the $5,000 shopping spree? Good question. I saw many things I would love to have such as a new comforter set (to go with the sheets I need!), a mirror (LOVE the choices – hard to choose just one!), and I love the benches in the dining room section. I wouldn’t use a bench for a dining room, I’d use it by a window so that my dogs could sit at the window and look outside. Based on what I spotted, I would have NO problem choosing items for a $5,000 shopping spree!!
