Go Orange!! Have we got any Syracuse Orange ‘Cuse fans in the house? Syracuse Orange is the nickname used by the athletic teams of Syracuse University, in Syracuse, New York. One of their athletic teams, the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team, is a very well-known NCAA team, who recently made it to the 2013 Final Four Basketball Championships.
Did you know that there is so much more to Syracuse than just great college sports? Well there is! Syracuse, New York is a bustling city with a population of just over 660,000, located a short 1 1/2 hour drive south of the Hill Island, Ontario border crossing on Interstate 81. You can probably tell I’m quite passionate about Syracuse, New York. I have been lucky enough to visit Syracuse a few times in my life, and enjoyed each trip to this great city. Pole Position Raceway in DestinyUSA Mall
You can sign up for the Arrive & Drive program that allows customers to show up individually or in small groups and race in standard races. These races last approximately 10 minutes (14 laps) and drivers are separated into two categories. In addition to the adult karts (56″ minimum height required), they have kid’s karts for racers who are at least 48″ tall and can safely drive.
The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is home to more than 700 animals of all shapes and sizes. From the smallest animal (milkweed bug) to the largest (Asian elephant), the zoo offers unique viewing opportunities for families!
