Surprise! Guess what? KINDER Canada is celebrating their 40th Anniversary!! Wow! They’ve been around almost as long as I have (and that’s a long time!).

KINDER Canada wants you to unwrap a smile! Come visit them in downtown Toronto at the Toronto Eaton Centre from now until August 28th and have your #kindersmiles captured for you to share with friends, family, or the world!
This past weekend we were invited to come to Toronto to celebrate with KINDER Canada at the unveiling of their brand new #kindersmiles Photo Booth at the Toronto Eaton Centre. All the new #Kindermom’s and #Kinderdad’s who attended this event with their families got to slip into this KINDER Photo Booth, smile their biggest and best #kindersmiles, and have their pictures transmitted onto the big screens high above the hip and happening Yonge-Dundas Square. How cool is that?!

X-Man was not able to be with us this weekend, and while this #kindersmiles unveiling was a very kid-friendly event, we decided to make a whirlwind trip to Toronto anyway, to join in on some KINDER Canada fun – since we consider ourselves big kids at heart! After all, I’m pretty good at unwrapping a smile…and eating delicious KINDER Surprise eggs!!
The KINDER Canada #kindersmiles photo booth is fantastic. You simply step inside, cuddle up with your little ones, your bestie, or maybe even one of those great KINDER folk in the fabulous “KINDER orange” pants, choose which graphics you want with your photos, and SMILE! You get a choice of how you would like to share your photos via email, Facebook, or Twitter. Be sure to use the #kindersmiles hashtag when you share your fun photos, and don’t forget to grab your pics before you leave the booth…and a free yummy KINDER Surprise egg too!
Before lunch we got to spend some time walking up and down Yonge Street…in the middle of the street! That’s right, the #kindersmiles event took place on the same day as the Open Streets event in Toronto. For Open Streets, Yonge Street, between Queen and Bloor, and a section of Bloor Street, was closed off to all vehicles, so people could walk, run, and ride a bike down the middle of the street all morning. We saw jugglers juggling, people dancing, fitness buffs doing push ups, and musicians playing instruments…all in the middle of the street. We really enjoyed wandering around, checking out the sights, and being part of this fun city event.
We all gathered together for lunch at the famous Mr Greenjeans restaurant at the Toronto Eaton Centre where we got to visit with our fellow #kindermoms and #kinderdads, enjoy a yummy lunch, and hear some exciting news from our hosts and representatives from KINDER Canada. They’ve got some pretty fantastic things planned for the upcoming 40th Anniversary year of KINDER Canada, so be sure to stay tuned…I will be sharing lots of great KINDER goodies and #kindersmiles with you over the next year!
In the meantime, if you are in the Toronto area on Saturday August 30th, come on down to the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) and help make KINDER history! To celebrate their 40th Anniversary, KINDER is looking to break a Guinness World Record for the most people unwrapping chocolate at the same time! Think they can do it? I sure do! I wish I could be there! I’d love to be part of breaking that record. Here are the details you need to know:
