While we bask in the sunshine and warmth of spring, just remember, it was only a few short weeks ago that we here in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes, were thinking we were never going to see summer when that last blast of winter blew by.
Ironically, on April Fool’s Day (long before the last winter storm), X-man gets out of bed, looks out the window and proclaims:
“SMELLS LIKE SUMMER!”
Good thing X-Man isn’t a famous Groundhog!
Now that spring is finally here, with temperatures warm enough to rival summer, I can actually laugh at something X-Man said to us during that final winter storm:
“AWWW! I GUESS SPRING HAS BEEN CANCELLED!”
It sure felt like it for a while, didn’t it?
