Located in central New York, and designated as the geographical centre of this state, Syracuse is a bustling city of approximately 145,000 people famous for it’s athletics program at Syracuse University (the Orange) and, in winter, its record snowfalls. Growing up in a city just a 2 hour drive from Syracuse, I’ve always been a fan of this great city. Over the years I have enjoyed a number of day trips to Syracuse to enjoy the New York State Fair (including concerts!), a picnic on Onondaga Lake, a concert at the Carrier Dome, and of course, some fun cross-border shopping.
Formerly known as the Carousel Center, this long-time retail shopping mall in Syracuse was rebranded as Destiny USA in August 2012. Destiny USA is a 2.4 million square foot destination-shopping complex that is home to more than 260 retail stores and nine entertainment venues, and is the sixth largest shopping centre in the United States.
