This hand drawn image of an upper denture greets me every time I visit the washroom at my parent’s place. Drawn by my mother, it’s her way of telling my father not to forget his teeth when he goes down for breakfast in the morning. Apparently, this has been a problem, and this was my mother’s way of solving that problem. She tells me he often forgets to slip in his partial plate before he heads down to the dining room to eat.
I have laughed at this drawing many times over the last number of months and finally decided I needed to photograph it. Before you ask…I got my mother’s consent. My dad? Shhhhhh…he doesn’t know it’s here, lol.
