Yes, we are headed to #BlissDomCA, or rather, the BlissDom Canada social media conference, being held on the weekend of October 3-5, 2013 at the Delta Meadowvale @DeltaMeadowvale in Mississauga, Ontario. BlissDom Canada is THE “go-to” social media conference that features a fantastic array of speakers, sponsors and brands coming together to give attendees a social media event experience they will never forget.
Recognize anyone in the above ^ picture? These are the faces behind many familiar blogs and websites that you read each day. We are a group of online friends who eat, sleep and breathe social media. We gathered the other night at the Delta Ottawa hotel in downtown Ottawa for the #CapitalBliss Tweetup – a chance to get to know each other better IRL (in real life) before we all spend 3 days together in October at BlissDom Canada.
Our host, the Delta Ottawa Hotel @DeltaOttawa did a fantastic job that night. They provided us with a great setting to meet up in, mouth-watering appetizers, and even a tasty refreshment on the house. I hate to say it but, those of us who spend a lot of time utilizing various social media channels tend to judge businesses on how savvy they are with the use of their social media accounts. My friend, Shannon (@shandon00), and I were discussing parking options prior to attending #CapitalBliss. I suggested we call the Delta Ottawa to find out our options. Silly me! Shannon said we should Tweet them, and so she did. It was fairly late in the day, so I was thinking we may not get an answer in time. I was SO wrong! Delta Ottawa tweeted back to Shannon within a couple of minutes to let her know what the parking options were. Talk about impressive!
So who was I able to meet up at #CapitalBliss? First and foremost was Shannon, from Shasher’s Life @shasherslife and Jennifer from Hart and Galla @hartgalla. These fabulous ladies are the heart of BlissDomCA. They are currently travelling across Canada to reach out to as many BlissDom Canada attendees as they can, holding tweetups like #CapitalBliss in various Canadian cities. If you know either of these ladies online, let me tell you, they are every bit as sweet, fun and vivacious in person as they appear online.
I also got to chat with many Ottawa bloggers that you’ve come to know and love. There was @Shandon00, @ChristaClips, @CanadianDadBlog, @Crystal_lou_who, @noliesplace, @LSSocialengage…and so many more whom I did not have a chance to talk with. No worries though, we’ll all see each other again at BlissDom Canada 2013!
So…do you blog? Run a website? Are you a social media fanatic? Are you just starting to dip your toes into the social media pool? Then BlissDom Canada is right for YOU! Yes, as long as you love social media, and want to learn more about it, you really should attend BlissDom Canada 2013. The road to social media success is paved in BlissDom red!
See you there!
