I’m pretty sure Niles thinks he’s a very handsome cat. In fact, I’m sure Niles feels like a ten.

No More Hair Down There
Before I get into the details of what my first brazilly® laser treatment was like, I do need to let you in on a little secret.
Numbing cream is your best friend when receiving laser hair removal treatments down there.
Emla is my new BFF. I bought this numbing cream behind the counter at my local Shopper’s Drug Mart pharmacy. It came recommended to me by my real-life BFF, Susan, who had previously been through her own laser hair removal treatments.
I will spare you the hilariously embarassing details of my experience with numbing cream except to say that my skills in dressing myself with a layer of plastic wrap leave little to be desired. Anyone listening to me laugh hysterically, as I tried to wrap my naughty bits in plastic wrap, would have thought I was nuts! FYI – the plastic wrap was used to prevent the cream from rubbing off onto my clothing.
Suffice it to say, for my subsequent treatments, I will be booking one of their rooms for an extra half hour at THE TEN SPOT® so I can apply the cream and simply relax before my treatment – without having to wrap myself in plastic!! ***Please note, you can also purchase numbing cream at THE TEN SPOT® before your treatment. Just make sure you leave yourself at least a half hour extra for the cream to take effect.
Absolutely Purr-fect
My first session at THE TEN SPOT® in the Glebe here in Ottawa was absolutely purr-fect. Booking my appointment was quick and easy (with an email confirmation received!). Checking in for my laser hair removal session was a breeze.
It was my technician, Denise, who made my whole experience at THE TEN SPOT® nothing but a positive one.
Denise was a true professional, explained everything I needed (or wanted) to know about my brazilly® laser treatments, and made me feel utterly relaxed and comfortable.
Make no bones about it. No matter how brave you may be about receiving laser hair removal treatments around your naughty bits, it can feel pretty awkward to lie there naked from the waist down, with your legs wide open, while the technician runs a laser gun over, under, and all around the targeted areas.
My feelings of awkwardness quickly dissipated, though, as Denise helped me focus on relaxing while she explained what she was doing during my treatment.
In fact, Denise had me so relaxed, I felt like I could have easily dozed off for a quick cat nap on the comfy bed!
My first brazilly® laser treatment was done in no time – in 10 minutes to be exact!
And the pain? Virtually non-existent for me. Thanks to the numbing cream, the worst pain I felt were little “pings” on my skin, in just a few areas, where it felt like my skin was being hit by a little elastic band.
Please keep in mind, however, everyone’s tolerance for pain is different, so what I feel during laser hair removal treatments, and what you feel, could be completely different.
Smitten With My Kitten
And so, my first brazilly® laser treatment has come and gone and I am already smitten with my kitten. Hair loss is already noticeable, and the hair that does grow back in is softer and not as thick. It takes two to three days after shaving to see any hair growth. I am more than impressed after just one treatment, and can’t wait to see, and feel, the end results!
Typically, it takes up to six laser hair removal treatments to get the desired hairless kitty effect. A person’s skin tone, hair colour, and other factors play a part in determining how many sessions a person will need.
