Go Bananas For March Break At The Ambassador Hotel #Kingston #Ontario #Canada

Posted by

March Break is just about here! What have you and your family got planned for this much-anticipated spring break?  Hopefully something fun and exciting to keep the kids entertained! If you are still trying to decide what to do, I’ve got a great suggestion for you, one I know about very well!

Located in Kingston, Ontario, the Ambassador Hotel and Conference Centre is a fantastic family-oriented resort destination that has been a much-loved hotel in Kingston for well over 48 years! Growing up in Kingston, I have had many chances to visit the Ambassador Hotel for everything from conferences, to suppers at the onsite restaurant,  JM’s Restaurant. It was at the Ambassador Hotel in 1978 that my sister and her husband held their wedding reception.  For that reason, the Ambassador Hotel is very near and dear to my heart.

Much has changed at the Ambassador Hotel since those days.  The Ambassador Hotel has grown up, and today, is one of Kingston’s premier hotels. Located in the heart of Kingston, this hotel is within a 10-15 minute drive of most of Kingston’s prime tourist attractions.

The Ambassador Hotel is embracing the upcoming March Break with some great celebrations of their own!  Do your kids love pools, waterslides and all that involves fun water play?  Then the Ambassador Hotel has  you covered.  Within this hotel you will find an entire indoor waterpark, including a 100′ waterslide (the kids will go from ho-hum to HOORAY when they see this), an indoor pool, and an interactive splash pad for your little ones.  Parents, the Ambassador Hotel hasn’t forgotten about you either.  With their Whirlpool Tub Spas, Eucalyptus Steam Rooms (sounds SO inviting!), European Spa, and Cardio Fitness Centre, parents can have just as much fun at the Ambassador Hotel as their kids.

The Ambassador’s Waterpark Team wants to make sure your kids have fun during their March Break stay at the hotel, so they’ve come up with some fun crafts and activities, karaoke events, new release movies, and more, to ensure the kids have a great time. Kingston’s very own “Silly Sally The Clown” will be on hand to delight little ones with her fun antics (I’ve met Silly Sally before…she is fun with a capital F!).

To celebrate March Break, the Ambassador Hotel will literally be “going bananas”.  Upon your arrival for your March Break stay at the Ambassador Hotel, your family will be greeted with “themed treats” and a welcome gift for each child.  I don’t know any child who wouldn’t enjoy that experience!

The fun continues when you stop by JM’s Restaurant for banana and other fun themed menu items.  Kids will even get to enjoy decorating their own “pet banana”.  Makes me wish I was a kid again…I don’t remember having that much fun on my March Breaks! The Ambassador Hotel’s March Break great rates include a FREE JM’s Restaurant Voucher (with a minimum 2 night stay).

For those of you who have never been to Kingston before, the Ambassador’s “Going Bananas” March Break celebration may just been the answer to your family’s quest for something fun to do for March Break.  Did you know that Kingston is just a short drive from so many locations? That’s right, Kingston is only a short 2 hour drive from Ottawa, 3 hours from Montreal, and 2 1/2 hours from the GTA (Toronto).  This means you can have a great getaway with the kids without traveling too far from home, or having to fight those airport crowds.  Kingston is a fabulous vacation destination for the whole family, with so much to see and do around town.

March Break starts next weekend!! Hurry and book your family’s fun and affordable stay at the Ambassador Hotel now! Rooms are sure to book up fast.  Don’t forget to bring your camera – there will be plenty of chances for some great photo ops!

Go Bananas at the Ambassador Hotel and have fun spending your week monkeying around!

The Ambassador Hotel does seem as though it would be a great place to take your family during March Break without being too far away from home! Next time we want to get away without being too far away, we will stay there! Thanks CBH! 🙂

You’re right, Lian! It’s so easy to get there from Ottawa. Makes for a great trip for March Break…or any weekend 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

This looks SO fun! I just wrote about how much my family appreciated a short getaway. It is a great survival technique in winter when you can’t do that coveted beach vacation. An indoor pool is always a must when you’re taking kids to a hotel (holy cow, they get so excited about a simple pool! ha!) But a waterpark?? Wow! Talk about fun for the kids!

    • March 5, 2014

You couldn’t be more right, Julie, it’s like a mini-vacation. A little fun to recharge everyone’s batteries. LOL I know! I used to get excited just to have a pool at a hotel when I was a kid. I would have loved staying at a place with a slide/waterpark! Thanks for stopping by, Julie!

We have been dreaming of setting up a trip to Kingston with the kids ( we have a son named Kingston) I will be sure to check them out. Anywhere with a water slide is my type of place!

    • March 5, 2014

Ok how cool is that! Let me just say, I love your son’s name! 🙂 I have a feeling your boys would love this hotel…and your family would have a great time in Kingston, Tammy. Be sure to stop beside a sign that says “Kingston” and have your son pose for a pic 😉 Thanks for stopping by!

looks like a great hotel. We aren’t going anywhere for March Break, but I wouldn’t mind spending a night or 2 in kingston this summer! I think the boys would enjoy it

    • March 5, 2014

It sure would make for a nice little getaway for your family, Ashley, and you wouldn’t have to drive too far. There are lots of things to do in Kingston, and the waterslide and indoor waterpark at the Ambassador Hotel will keep the boys happy for sure 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

Emily Smith @ The Best of this Life

Wow! This does sound like soo much fun for the kiddos (and parents!) – the waterpark looks awesome!! I love that Kingston is just a short drive from Ottawa but is a WHOLE new city to explore and discover!

    • March 5, 2014

Yes, Emily, fun for the whole family! Kingston really is close to Ottawa, and such an easy drive down the 416-401. You’ll be there in no time. Hope you get a chance to stay at the Ambassador Hotel some time! You’ll love exploring Kingston 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
