We were invited by Scott and Jenny to join a group of influencers for an overnight group getaway to Chalet Buckingham – a little slice of heaven in Quebec’s Outaouais Region.
My friend, photographer Roland Bast, organized our influencer group getaway, lining up 5 influencers, and our partners, for a one-night stay at this luxury chalet.
Accommodating Groups
Accommodations at this 4 bedroom Ottawa River luxury chalet are perfectly suited for large groups.
Not only are there plenty of bedding options for couples and/or singles, with 2.5 (large) bathrooms, there’s no need to be concerned about access to a bathroom, even with a chalet full of guests.
That is unless your roommate ends up spending too much time in the beautiful over-sized soaker tub, or showering in the lovely master bedroom ensuite shower!
Organizing a group getaway to a chalet can sometimes be a challenging
Privacy
Privacy concerns could be an issue if some people in your party are meeting for the first time.
This was the case for a few people in our group. While we all became fast friends, the layout of the chalet, the spacious interior, and the bedding options ensured that our stay at Chalet Buckingham was a comfortable one.
Meal Prep
Making certain you account for everything you need to bring for meal preparation for your group, can be daunting.
In Chalet Buckingham’s fully-stocked kitchen, you’ll find just about everything you’ll need to help you whip up some delicious home-cooked meals. Mugs, utensils, dishes, pots, pans – even bottled water, coffee, and some spices are available for guests – just don’t forget to bring your food!
We had everything we needed – or should I say, Roland had everything he needed – to prepare a delicious bacon and egg breakfast for the whole gang!

What To Do
Keeping everyone busy during a group getaway can be difficult but – not at Chalet Buckingham!
Summer guests of Chalet Buckingham can cool off with a swim in the Ottawa River, take a hike through the beautiful forested area surrounding Chalet Buckingham, relax and unwind with a favourite beverage on the gorgeous wooden deck overlooking the Ottawa River at sunset, or explore the beautiful Pontiac area, including the town of Quyon.
Winter guests of Chalet Buckingham can enjoy a hike along the country road, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing along the river, curling up by the fireplace with a good book, playing one of the many board games available at the chalet, watching TV, enjoying a chat around a warm outdoor fire, or catching a glimpse of the local wildlife including these adorable chick-a-dees…
For the more adventurous folks, you can get up at sunrise to do this…
It was Roland and Sadik who came up with the great idea to head out into the frigid morning temperatures, with pots of boiling water, to see if we could capture some photos of the water freezing in mid-air.
It was such a fun thing to do, and we managed to capture some pretty spectacular photos.
